The term “Perpetual” denotes the self-winding mechanism via a Perpetual rotor, a semi-circular oscillating weight patented by Rolex in 1931 that winds the watch with the natural motion of the wearer’s wrist.
Design and Aesthetics
Renowned for its understated and timeless aesthetic, the Oyster Perpetual features a sleek, time-only display (hours, minutes, and seconds) without a date window. The watch is crafted exclusively from Oystersteel, a high-performance 904L alloy known for its exceptional corrosion resistance and high-polish finish.
